Martha Donnelly—Hello, again!
I am back to writing on this blog twice a month to give you insight into my life here at The College at Brockport. It is the end of August and classes are in full swing now for the Fall semester which is crazy to me. I don’t know about anyone else but I feel like this past summer flew by. I remember starting the summer and thinking that I had so much time in the world to work and hang out with my friends from home, but before I knew it I was headed back to Brockport.
This year is my third year but it is going to be my last one! I am in the Delta College here which is a program that has helped me finish my degree earlier than normal. It has also given me the opportunity to spend a semester in one of my favorite cities, London, England. I have had the chance to take classes that count as multiple Gen Ed requirements, therefore, I am ahead of my peers in classes because of this. It has made me be able to take my major classes while taking my Delta classes. This semester, I am taking two English courses for my major and three Delta courses for the Delta College portion of my degree. All my classes seem very interesting and I am excited to see where this semester takes me with them.
It has been so hot here this week which makes every one of my classrooms SO HOT! I am hoping it starts to cool off soon since it is the beginning of September now. The fall time in Western New York brings apple picking, football games, leaves changing and crisper air. It is one of the best times to be here at Brockport in my opinion.
I hope you all had a wonderful summer full of memories and laughter with friends, but now it is back to the season and grind of school work and blog posts 🙂 Talk to you next post!
