Fun events at the Ice Rink

So I thought I’d share with all of you some of the fun things to do on the weekends here at Brockport

One of the fun things my roommates, friends and I like to do is going to Open Skate or attend a Hockey game at the ice rink in Tuttle North (the building right next to SERC).  On Friday and Saturday nights there is open skate for anyone who would like to attend.  When you bring your Brockport Student ID, you can skate for free and the only thing you have to pay for is $3 for Ice Skates if you don’t own your own (:

A lot of people from my hallway went, so it was a fun way to get closer with each other.  Even my RA went, so it was a great way to get to know her even better as well.  When my friends and I went to the Tuttle North Rink we skated for about an hour and a half.  There were also a lot of other people there from other dorms, so it was a perfect way to meet new friends!  While we were skating there was music playing, so some of my friends tried to make up dance moves while skating.  That was definitely really funny!  Another thing that was fun while we were skating was my two guy friends had a race who could skate around the rink fastest.  I was thoroughly impressed on how fast they both were.  Haha!   We also took some pictures so we could print them out later and remember our fun time at the rink!

Above is a picture all of us took while we were Ice Skating! (:

Another fun and exciting event to attend at the Ice skating Rink are the Hockey games! They are a great way to show your Golden Eagle pride and show your support to the athletic teams here on campus.  The games are always full of excitement and a lot of other student attend these games as well, so this is a way to make you feel more apart of SUNY Brockport

All in all, once you are on campus here – I want you all to know that there are so many fun things to do on the weekends here at, The College at Brockport.  Open skate and attending Hockey games are just TWO of many events/activities to attend on the weekends.
